Happy 12th Birthday Google!

27 September 2010 No Comment

Google celebrates it’s 12th birthday today, and to mark the occasion a new doodle has been created.
This year the Doodle is of a birthday cake with a candle replacing the “L”. The Doodle was painted by 89 year old American pop artist Wayne Thiebaud whose most famous works are of cakes, pastries, boots, toilets, toys and lipsticks. Last year’s doodle was the Google Logo with a duplicate “L” representing 11 (eleven) as can be seen here
Google Doodle’s are becoming quite a regular thing, usually commemorating a particular event or person. To see some of the recent Google Doodles check out: http://www.google.com/logos/
So far Google users have seen more than 300 doodles, what would you like to see on the Google homepage next?
